Dubai Taxi Corporation honours the Bonnington!

We recently received a visit from representatives of Dubai Taxi Corporation, who came to see the hotel and to discuss strengthening our existing ties.

They also brought us a rather nice certificate and a 24K DTC taxi wall plaque, which now takes pride of place in our Executive Office. Both gifts were due to the Bonnington having been the no. 6 top corporate booker of DTC taxis in Dubai in the past three month.

We are looking forward to continuing our cooperation with DTC abd hope to take 1st place next time!

Out now: 2010 UAE tourist guide for your phone!

The Bonnington is delighted to bring travellers a downloadable tourist guide to the United Arab Emirates for their mobile phones.

The guide includes a wealth of information about visiting the UAE, e.g. travel advise, tourist information, useful telephone numbers, etc.

The guide will work on most modern mobile phones, and you can download it by clicking here. This will download a zipped folder to your computer which, once expanded, contains two files. Use the software that came with your mobile phone to transfer both files to your phone and complete the installation from your mobile phone’s browser.

The Institute of Hospitality @bonningtontower

We’re happy to announce that we have just been selected as the venue for the first gathering of the Institute of Hospitality’s Dubai Branch!

The Cavendish Restaurant will play host to institute members and guests and we are looking forward to welcoming the institute’s CEO, Mr. Philippe Rossiter FIH, to the Bonnington on Sunday, 20th June 2010, at 7.30 p.m.

The Bonnington has long supported the work of the institute and we are delighted to continue to do so here in Dubai.

The Institute of Hospitality renamed on 2 April 2007 was previously known as the Hotel & Catering International Management Association (HCIMA). The Institute of Hospitality represents professional managers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries and has a worldwide membership with members represented in all sectors of the industry including hotels, contract catering, restaurants, pubs and clubs, as well as leisure outlets, theme parks and sports venues. The Institute of Hospitality is managed as an educational charity, and exists to benefit its members in their career and professional development, as well as continuing to improve industry sector standards.
