Our first TripAdvisor review for the Cavendish Restaurant!

We recently announced that we have expanded our listing on TripAdvisor and called for reviews of The Cavendish Restaurant and Healey’s Bar & Terrace.

Well, the first review for the Cavendish has just come in and we’re happy to say that it’s excellent. Well done to Chef Thomas, Jimmie and all the other Cavendish team members!

We’ve also just received our first Italian review on TripAdvisor and after a frantic scramble to find an associate who is fluent in Italian, Foued from Reception came to our rescue and drafted a suitable management reply which is currently pending with TripAdvisor.

    If you get something in Italian you can always use Google Translate (another one of Googles free apps)
    Just copy and paste the foreign language into Google Translate and select the target language (in your case English)
    Sometimes the translations contain strange terms because the translation isn’t quite there yet.
    But you can pretty much figure out what the writer was trying to say…especially is the language has any remote connection to English.

      Thank you for your comment! Yes, we use Google Translate a lot and it is very useful, however, for responding to reviews in foreign languages, we find that it does not deliver good enough translations and that it is better to have a reply written by a native speaker of the language.
      Luckily, we have quite a large number of associates from different nationalities working here, so we are able to cover a good few languages!
