Art house cinema in JLT! Ireland on Screen UAE 2012!
We are pleased to let you know that the “Ireland on Screen UAE” film festival 2012 will come to Jumeirah Lakes Towers on Tuesday, 3rd of April. The aims of the program are to provide local audiences with a sample of Irish cinema and to raise cultural awareness and appreciation in the United Arab Emirates for Irish and Irish-related film and cinema.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with light refreshments with the film screenings themselves beginning at 6.30 p.m.

Dedicated film buffs will also be interested to know that a limited number of Irish film prize packs will be also be up for grabs at the screening!
Ireland on Screen UAE 2012 is supported by the Embassy of Ireland, Abu Dhabi.
Don’t miss your chance to see Ken Loach’s critically acclaimed “The Wind that Shakes the Barley” – a sympathetic look at Republicans in early 20th century Ireland, and two brothers who are torn apart by anti-Brit rebellion.

The event takes place at the Almas Tower Conference Centre, just across the road from us and we’re also supporting the event together with McGettigan’s Irish Pub – you’re welcome to pop in for a pre- or post-cinema dinner or drink.
