… and it’s a wrap! Another Paddy’s Day weekend at the Bonnington has been and gone. This year, we had old favourites, like our Irish dancers in the lobby, but also exciting new events, like the biggest Irish party Dubai has ever seen, which was organized by our friends from McGettigan’s and which took place in Media City.

Of course, we’ve had the Irish flag up again on our tower, too:

The day itself sped past like a whirlwind with events taking place in the hotel, in McGettigan’s JLT, and in Media City. Although it was very busy, we had time to pop across the road and party a little, too:

If you didn’t manage to join us this year, mark your diaries for next year’s celebrations!

Healey’s isn’t closing for the summer! Let’s party!

Bonningtonend-of-season-party-revised

Summer is here and Ramadan’s set to start next week. Usually this means that Healey’s Bar & Terrace is closing for a month and that we’re having an end-of-season closing party. This year, though, Healey’s will stay open during June and July, but we still wanted to have a party anyway, so we’ve come up with a beat the heat end of season extravaganza that’s set to last 5 entire days.

From 13th to 17th June 2015, you can buy special beverages packages in Healey’s for only AED 200/day (Saturday – Tuesday) and AED 250/day (Wednesday). Enjoy unlimited house beverages and don’t forget to enter the nightly raffle draw exclusively for beverage package purchasers. Prizes change nightly and include bottles of fine grape, cigars, iftar vouchers for our Cavendish Restaurant, and many more…

You can buy your beverage packages in Healey’s or by emailing us.

More laughter in JLT!

The Laughter Factory is coming back to JLT on Friday, 2nd November 2012! This month’s line-up promises a great show, so why not make an evening of it and come down early for dinner in our Cavendish Restaurant?

The show takes place in our Almas ballroom, just across the road from the Bonnington.

Doc Brown is an underground rapper who worked with, among others, De La Soul and Mark Ronson. In 2008, Doc Brown put down one mic and picked up another after working as a “slang consultant” on a Lenny Henry sitcom, written by Danny Robins and Dan Testell for Radio 4.

Jimmy McGhie’s career was kickstarted in 2005 after reaching the finals of the prestigious ‘BBC New Talent’ competition and performing in the ‘Amused Moose Hot Starlets Showcase’ at the Edinburgh Festival. He then began working full time as a stand-up comedian performing in theatres, clubs, arts centers and universities all over the country and abroad.

Alistair Barrie has been performing professionally for nearly an entire century… this one. Much in demand as both a headline act and MC, he has played all over the UK and Ireland, as well as further afield including the States, Australia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Prague, Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Norway, Hong Kong, Macau, Malta, Cyprus, Singapore, Bahrain, Indonesia, Mumbai, Athens (during riot season) and the middle of the North Sea.
